The Arc of the Eastern Panhandle’s Summer Virtual Vocational Pathways Program will provide marketable and skill-building opportunities for transitioning disabled adults. This program will provide marketable and skill-building opportunities that are geared toward helping disabled citizens secure competitive employment after completing a summer immersion training program. The Vocation camp will primarily leverage Zoom as the delivery platform. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for writing up simple set up and login instructions for participants to follow. We will print these and send physical, email, and text copies. When The Vocational Virtual Program will be a two week camp. It will be held three times a week for two hour sessions. We will target Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting July 20 – July 31 Program Topics Role playing job scenarios for different jobs based on participant interests Filling out job application Interview practice sessions How to write a resume class How to dress for success – role and job specific How to use Windows Office for computer and mobile Communication skills Vocational Camp Kits Once content has been finalized, we will create camp kits and a binder with schedule and materials per session as necessary. Mentors Camp mentors will be available to help guide and answer questions through the camp time period.
